These are Thought Well's live usage counters, all-time totals since the site launched in October 2026. They are public so anyone can see whether people actually use it.

What these numbers are

Each number is a plain anonymous tally. When you do one of the things above, your browser asks a public counter service (abacus.jasoncameron.dev) to add 1 to a counter with that name, for example maps. That's all that is sent: the counter name. There's no text from your brain dump, no user ID, no cookie and no fingerprinting. Counts can't be linked to a person or to each other.

Like any web request, the counter service can see your IP address. Nothing is counted if your browser sends Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control. Each page load counts at most one "map made", however many times you edit. Early numbers include a few test runs from before launch. More details are on the privacy page.
